The Holy War (with W Mason notes)- John Bunyan (1628-1688)

A rare reprint of the Holy War with explanatory notes by William Mason, well-known for his 'Spiritual Treasury' meditations. When Diabolus takes over the town of Mansoul, Mason says when disbelief of God's word took place in the human mind, there was an end of man's innocence forever; guilt and condemnation supervened with their attendant sin. The understanding and judgment became immediately darkened and depraved; wrong principles produced corrupt practices and defiled the whole mass. He warns the Christian to take heed of disbelieving the oracles of truth.
