It is not a little remarkable that we should have two John Warburtons, father and son, and both truly honoured servants of God, and able ministers of the New Testament. The latter is herein memorialized. He was infamously known in his unregenerate days as the 'wandering' son of his godly father. With as much vehemence as David panted after the waterbrooks of grace, so his soul panted after the foul, black, putrid streams of sin. Yet some of God's children are permitted to run to exceeding lengths of sin that God might make known the exceeding riches of His grace.
